Coffee legends: monks and prayers

Wrote at 11:15 by Stefano Urso in: Gossip Café,
coffee legends
Everyone in the world is familiar with the coffee beverage but, only few, have answers to questions about this drink, its history and its social significance. There are many legends about coffee origin: everyone should know the one from the monastery Chehodet (Yemen) where one of the monks, having heard from a shepherd (named Kaldi) that his goats and camels were kept "lively" at night if they eat certain berries, prepared a drink using these barriers with the intent to stay awake for pray longer.

I love this coffee maker, I used one all through my student days; so I recently bought one from Florence at twice the value if you include post. But nowhere on the Internet that I have seen, does anyone say that when you 'flip' the pot, if it is done .....
