Espresso coffee machine: daily, twice-weekly and six-monthly maintenance
Daily maintenance
a) Command panel and gasket must be cleaned at the end of the day with an appropriate brush
b) Filter ring and filter must be washed with hot water (do not put them in the dishwasher)
c) The tray must be removed at the end of the day and rinsed with hot water
d) A damp cloth must always be kept near the vapour nozzle, remember to: open the steam wand in order to allow some vapour to exit before heating the milk; clean the steam wand after use, and allow some vapour to exit when finished.

Twice-weekly maintenance
Flexible pipe cleaning: remove the tray and pour 1 spoonful of bicarbonate soda into the small brass container in the lower part of the tray. Fill with a glass of water to the level indicated. The bicarbonate of soda will help keep the flexible hose clean and prevent leakage.
Grinder whopper: to be carried out with a cloth dampened with alcohol (wait until the smell of alcohol has disappeared before putting in the coffee grains.
Shower heads cleaning: the stainless steel shower heads should be removed every two weeks. Put the shower head on top of something very hot, such as an oven. By doing this it will burn and therefore remove coffee oil residue. The shower head must be changed at least once every year (and more often if production level is high). Two things must be checked when deciding if it is time to change the shower head. When the filter has been removed, shine a light on the nozzles and check if the holes are clean. Is the water coming out of the holes like a shower? If not, it is time to burn them on some fire: this will clean the nozzles.

(N.B. The frequency of these operations depends on the daily use of the machine – it may be more than once every fortnight)

Six-monthly maintenance
Gaskets must be changed periodically, given that the high temperature to which they are exposed tends to harden them. They must be changed every six months, or before, if they tend to lose water while an espresso coffee is being made. Remember to switch-off the coffee machine before changing the gaskets. Force the old gasket with a screw-driver in order to remove it. Make sure that the seat for the new gasket is clean before instillation. Finally put the filter ring back in order to correctly push the gasket into position.

We suggest however that the owners of the equipment call expert technicians at least once a year for servicing.

Thanks for the info. Can I use some for our site?

I love this coffee maker, I used one all through my student days; so I recently bought one from Florence at twice the value if you include post. But nowhere on the Internet that I have seen, does anyone say that when you 'flip' the pot, if it is done .....
