Coind considers Sustainability a pillar of its business model.
In 2020 we started the journey with the drafting of the Social Report, but today our commitment is embodied in the Sustainability Report, a central tool for transparently communicating the actions taken and the results achieved with reference to the GRI Standards.
The Sustainability Report 2024 has already incorporated the principles of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), with regard to dual materiality/double materiality analysis.
Commitment to people
In 2024, the journey toward UNI/PdR 125:2022 Certification on Gender Equality also began, culminating in the achievement of certification in early 2025. A step that consolidates our policies on pay equity and professional growth.
Our Gender Balance tells of a naturally inclusive environment: 54 percent of people in Coind are women, a significant presence that contributes to the richness and vitality of the company every day.
Environment
Environmental protection guides our daily choices:
- Purchasing 100% electricity from certified renewable sources.
- Use of Photovoltaic Panels, placed in the new Coind logistics. This allowed us to avoid the emission into the atmosphere of 1,476 tons of CO₂ eq, an achievement that concretely illuminates our path toward decarbonization.
- FSC®-certified cardboard cartons, material produced with wood fibers from responsibly managed forests, according to international standards that guarantee environmental protection, biodiversity conservation and respect for the rights of local communities and workers.
- ProjectF2F (FILM to FILM) - RE.WIND®. A circular economy project that enables the recycling of flexible plastic films used in industrial packaging by transforming them into new films, reducing waste and environmental impact, promoting the reuse of resources and sustainability along the entire production chain.
- Life cycle analysis (LCA) and CO₂ offsetting We measure the impact of products and support environmental projects that contribute to reducing emissions.
Innovation and research
- Ongoing research of sustainable materials, including recyclable films and aluminum capsules from recyclable sources.
- Experimentation and validation of capsules compatible with home composting (Home compost).
Purchasing Policies.
- 139 approved suppliers.
- Purchasing from certified supply chains, such as Organic and Fairtrade for cocoa and coffee, and Rainforest Alliance for coffee.
Our commitment is to grow responsibly, generating value for stakeholders and the land, through concrete actions that address environmental and social challenges globally.
ESG Score
Coind participated, in collaboration with Legacoop Bologna, in a survey on CRIF Group's Synesgy global digital platform. The initiative made it possible to assess the company's level of unsustainability according to ESG (environmental, social, and governance) criteria, resulting in an ESG score of A.
ESG Score: A
Excellent level of Sustainability

The ESG score complies with international reporting standards (Global Reporting Initiative, European Sustainability Reporting Standards and Sustainable Development Goals) and considers the most important, material and significant topics related to Environmental, Social and Governance factors.
EcoVadis Medal
A second milestone came in 2024 with the EcoVadis Bronze Medal, one of the most authoritative international awards for assessing sustainability in the supply chain.
This achievement confirms the robustness of our management system and consistency with ESG criteria, reinforcing our commitment to responsible, transparent and continuous improvement-oriented practices.
