The excellence in coffee segment stems from a deep understanding of the raw material and its production path. Over the course of more than 60 years in business, Coind has developed know-how and production capabilities that make it a benchmark for the coffee market and particularly among private label producers.

Green coffee selection

Great coffee starts with a careful selection of raw material. We select coffee from 20 countries of origin. In the countries of origin, Coind experts carefully select the best raw beans of the Arabica variety, traditionally more harmonious, and Robusta, commonly with a thicker, stronger flavor, as early as the time of harvest.

Increasingly advanced chemical and physical analyses allow each batch of green coffee to be classified according to organoleptic characteristics, so as to ensure a perfect balance in the result.

This attention makes it possible to exclude coffee berries unsuitable for roasting and remove any impurities, to ensure a flawless base at the birth of the blend.

Blending

This is the stage where technology and the deep experience of Coind specialists totally merge.

Recognizing the peculiarities of each origin allows us to create perfect blends in the blending process, calibrated to customer needs and consumer expectations.

With our coffees we bring to life a catalog of about seventy validated recipes.

Roasting

Roasting represents the most delicate and fascinating moment of the process: the heart of flavor takes shape.

The beans, in order to release their best organoleptic characteristics, are subjected to temperatures between 200 and 240 °C and must be roasted evenly, without being burned. This is a delicate stage that requires experience and constant control and does not admit the slightest error.

The first roast, especially on the finest and most complex blends, is tasted by our experts to ensure not only the quality of roasting but also the standard of taste.

Thanks to state-of-the-art technological systems, the process precisely respetcs the roasting curves defined for each customer, so as to obtain blends of impeccable quality, with personalized aroma and taste.

Grinding

After blending and roasting, coffees for roast&ground, capsules and pods undergo an extremely precise grinding process.

High-tech tools and precise calibrations ensure the ideal grain size for each extraction method: finer for an intense espresso, coarser for a balanced moka and filter coffee.

Proper grinding ensures coffee is neither over-extracted (watery) nor under-extracted (overly intense), preserving aromatic fullness and flavor.

Packaging

The freshness of coffee is a value to be protected.
Packaging seals aroma and taste, preventing oxygen from altering the product's properties until it is opened. Advanced technologies and materials ensure that each bean and powder retains the characteristics with which it was designed.

For Coind, it is essential to enhance the value of its products without compromising the choice of sustainable solutions. With this in mind, the Company intends to continue its commitment to selecting the most sustainable packaging materials for specific types of coffee products, while ensuring full compliance with the high quality and safety standards required.

Coind, in order to meet the growing demands of customers and consumers who are increasingly aware of sustainability issues, is committed to designing packaging that aims to ensure that, at the end of its life, the packaging can be collected, sorted and recycled effectively, without compromising the quality of the recycled material.
