Castel Maggiore roasting facility

Our plant is located in Castel Maggiore (BO), at Via Saliceto 22/H.

This is where the entire production process comes to life: from the coffee beans that arrive from all over the world, carefully selected and subjected to rigorous laboratory controls and tests, to the packaging of the finished product.

It is the beating heart of Coind, where experience, technology and passion work in perfect balance to shape blends of consistent and certified quality.

Production capacity

The production area covers 14,000 sq. m. between offices, warehouse and production departments, to which 10,000 sq. m. of new warehouse were added in 2022. As of today, 45 silos, 3 roasting machines, capable of roasting up to 80 tons of coffee per day, for a total potential production capacity of more than 17,000 tons per year, operate inside the plant.

Established know-how, production flexibility and ability to process high volumes

The automatic production lines, designed to ensure high speed, precision and flexibility, allow for rapid changes in format and package type, adapting to the specific needs of each customer.

Thanks to this production organization and consolidated know-how, today Coind is able to meet every need: from the selection of different origins of green coffee, to the creation of dedicated blends, from extraction technologies, to packaging formats.

Electricity consumption is an extremely important variable at Coind's activity due to the nature of coffee roasting, production lines, and packaging lines. The supply of electricity is 100% from renewable sources certified through guarantees of origin (GO). In addition, part of the electricity is self-generated by the installation of photovoltaic panels.
