Coffee is a beverage enjoyed all over the world, but it is prepared in dozens of different ways from one geographical area to another. Here are three examples:
Irish coffee: the famous Irish take on coffee involves combining hot coffee, whiskey, sugar and cream. The recipe was invented by the bar manager at Shannon Airport, Ireland, to warm up passengers in transit.
Yuanyang: Typical of Hong Kong, this drink is prepared by combining black tea, condensed milk and strong coffee, and is served hot or cold in teacups. The name refers to Chinese ducks, a symbol of marital love.
Ca phe trung: egg coffee is a typical preparation from Vietnam, and is prepared by combining a cup of strong coffee with a cream made by whipping egg yolks, condensed milk and a teaspoon of coffee.
