The price of espresso coffee varies greatly from city to city but especially from country to country. While it is nice to find those who make espresso coffee outside of Italy, however, it is often not as nice when you go to pay for it.

Let's look at the average cost in euros of espresso coffee, surveyed by Monocle magazine, in some major cities around the world:

New York: 1.80
London: 1.12
Amsterdam: 5.00
Rome: 0.90
Rio de Janeiro: 2.34
Sydney: 4.19
New Delhi: 1.19
Beijing: 2.55
Cairo: 3.80
Tokyo: 3.85

Such high prices, compared to those charged in Italy, are given by the many costs that burden the roasted coffee (I say Italian since we are the largest exporters in the world) that is imported to the various countries. In fact, coffee is one of the most taxed products when passing through customs (almost on par with petroleum and gold materials) and therefore every importer, to the price he pays to the roaster, has to add vat, customs duties, excise taxes and everything else that then goes to top up what all the customs of the world consider to be a real black gold.
