Co.ind s.c., now recognized as one of Italy's largest coffee roasters and a leading producer of private label coffee with more than 6,500 tons of roasted green coffee and five million Italian households served each year, has organized forSeptember23, 2009the"Green Coffee Day," a meeting open to its main suppliers of green coffee and related services to share together convivial moments about the world of coffee, as well as to present the new green coffee purchasing and traffic structure. The meeting, which will be held at the Castel Maggiore plant, is designed both to share future strategies on the world of coffee and to show green coffee traders the new technologies used to achieve increasingly fine and perfect roasts. After a walk-through at Co.ind's Quality laboratories, the meeting will focus on the new green coffee tower that Co.ind implemented in early 2009.This is a 26-meter-high tower that controls the raw coffee process(conventional, decaffeinated, organic) in the stages of receiving, cleaning, storing and blending. This new structure, in addition to undisputed logistical benefits, has allowed an improvement in the cleanliness of green coffee with consequent benefits both in the downstream process(roasting, grinding, packaging) and in the quality of the beverage yield in the cup. The day will alternate moments of analysis and reflection with moments of conviviality together with the participating professionals: at all junctures Co.ind will make available, as it has done for 50 years, its professionalism and passion for coffee.(31/08/09)
